Working... in The Necessaries
Dawon Kang is a curator based in Seoul. She studied Fine Arts at the undergraduate level and completed an M.A. in Aesthetics. Her research interests lie in the interrelationship between fiction and subjectivity—how fictional worlds are inseparable from the self and how this entanglement resonates with the real world. Focusing on the fictive nature of contemporary Korean art, she seeks to explore narratives that emerge from specific places and individuals. Since 2024, she has been working as a curator at The necessaries, and collaborates with curator Eumin Lee as part of the curatorial team The Third Plan.
